This is the first I have heard of that brand....

Do you have a link to a website by chance?

Kinda skimpy on their information aren't they?

All I can say is that I've never heard of them.

Are you hunting for a good computer for yourself or just fishing for info on a brand you've never heard of?

i just purchased one from divers supply
www.diverssupply.com
they retail for $249.95
i purchased a new one from divers supply on e-bay for 90 bucks.
after i bought it i noticed on their new auctions they now have a reserve price on them.

the book said that it uses the buell tables? i know that is not the spelling but i think it is something like that.
i looked up the tables in " the essentials of deeper sport diving" .
they call for a 1 min safety stop on all dives and an accent rate of 30 ft per min.
i usually assend at about 60' per min. i think i will have trouble maintaining 30 per min.

A couple of points.....

I believe it is Buhlmann (Named after Dr. Alfred Buhlmann - and the u is one of those that have 2 dots over them) He developed the model in Zurich Switzerland in 1959. And I believe it is the basis of most dive computers. I think it was also extended into the Suunto RGBM (??).

As well, every dive computer that I looked at before I bought mine all had a 30'/min ascent rate.

Hope that this helps

An instructor gave me this good tip on how to slow down my ascent up the mooring/anchor line: Go up the line "Fist over Fist".

In other words, grab the line with one hand, and then the other hand goes right above the other, and repeat. If you do this motion slowly, you should only be rising well less than 30' per minute. Plus you're always connected with a good grip on the line incase there is a current ripping past.

Definitely keep us informed of your impressions on this computer so we can add it to our knowledge base. Possibly give us a review after you have a few dives with it?

thank you for your intrest in the topic
it will be the end of jan before i get a few dives with the new computer under my belt. i am currently waiting for my new 140 hp suzuki 4 stroke motor for my boat. my last motor sh_t the bed.
as far as the hand over hand, i have read that too. the problem is that i don't come up an anchor rope. we'll see how it works for me and i will let you know.
