Now that I'm about to order a BP/W, I got to thinking about where I would put my wetnotes and a spool. Seems like the Harness Pocket, shown here http://www.halcyon.net/mc/harness.shtml would be a good option. The X-Pocket from Oxycheq looks good too, but I can't tell if you can put it straight on the waist strap, or if it has to stay 'drop-down holster' style.

Suggestions or insight?

thanks

Get a pocket and glue it to your wet suit or dry suit.... On the side of your thigh. So your hand can touch the bottom of the inside of the pocket while you're standing...

I will probably do that at some point, but right now I want something a little less...permenant.

thanks

The Halcyon system will work if you aren't using a can light. You can also get a pair of the X shorts. The fit over a wet or drysuit and have large bellows pockets on the sides.

I'm in agreement with Mverick though.

I have a pair of the bellowed pocket shorts and they work great. Good suggestion.

Nope, no can light.

thanks again

I use the X-shorts—not the prettiest but probably the most practical solution. The pockets are nice and big and there are reinforced holes that you can put a bungied/shock cord loop through to clip off your spool etc.

That Halcyon harness pocket from the picture looks like the Dive Rite waist pocket $32 @ DR Express. I just happened to be thinking of getting the DR one.
