Does CoCo View follow the Honduran standard of not flushing toilet paper down the sanitary system? Do all the island resorts follow the same procedures?
Thanks

CCV requests that you do not flush TP, it is in their general information packet supplied with each room.

tool belt, its not that it won't flush, its the clogging effect it has on the septic system.

CCV actually has its own waste water treatment plant built a number of years back by an Italian firm.

I thought their rule was only flush anything that's passed through your body AND toilet paper, nothing else. Don't think we used the waste basket there.

What does it matter really? If they have a no flush paper policy then thats what you do, If not then no bigie as they will then have to have the system to deal with it. If this is the type of thing that one looks into before travel then by goodness to not visit asia or even the wealthy Arab emerit areas as they often just have holes in the floor, no big deal for locals but missing the hole takes on a whole new dimension. Are you questioning visiting due to what is needed or asked for when the environment comes to question or are you asking to find out if CCV is following some type of system you feel should be used? Please, come back and let us know

It was snowing here today in Chicago when I picked up Captain Randy (Flower Gardens fame) at Midway Airport - he came for the Our World Underwater dive show in Chicago.

I swear to you, once in the car, my very first question to Cap was, "When you go to CoCoView, how do they tell that you should wipe your @$$?"

Randy is a 4 Trips a year (to CCV) kind of a guy (8 weeks a year total), and he told me that CCV wants you to chuck your bum-wad in the garbage cans as provided.

"You gotta be $#¶∏∑N me", I say.

"No ©®@p", he says, "throw it in the waste can".

Glad I could be of help.

Randy, by the way, is sometimes cold in Houston, and he appeared with his baggage at SouthWest wearing, I'm not kidding here, a Refrigi-Wear Brand Coat (circa 1970 vintage) . He gets to wear it once a year, that's why he comes to Our World Underwater every February, I guess.

Being a former live aboard Captain, he reminded me that this is standard procedure on small ships- If you didn't eat it first, don't put it in the head. (toilet)
