Hi

I'm South African, from Cape Town. Currently diving in the warm Indian Ocean waters of the UAE. I live in Dubai (right on the waters of the Persian Gulf), but all the good diving is on the other coast. I drive out there every 2 weeks to enjoy the scenery, hang out with cool people and of course, get wet. It's 100 miles, but seems to breeze past.

This board has been great, just browsing through it i learned a great deal, and several hours went by without me realising. I'm not much of a forum guy, I read rather than post, but I have learned a great deal that way.

Regards

Lloyd

Glad to have you on board. From your thread title it sounds like you have a good sense of humor... something that is always welcome in these forums!

Hi all, and thanks for the welcome!

Dr Bill, I used to do Wilderness Search and Rescue back home before moving here, and the sense of humour and camaraderie you shared with the guys really kept you going.

I have done a few dangerous jobs in my time, and I learned to appreciate an honest laugh and Nature's beauty more because of being so close to the edge, you come back and enjoy the good things a lot more.

Just like the outdoor guys I used to do rescues, rock climbs and hikes with, the dive guys have been great - like a community. I've shared a few good laughs already.
