Someone broke into my garage last night and stole (among other things) a bunch of my scuba equipment. I don't imagine the thieves are divers, so if anyone in the bay area happens to see someone selling this stuff, I'd appreciate you letting me know.

I didn't have a chance to take a good inventory, but here's what I know is missing:

Halcyon Eclipse BP/W - generic black webbing, two o-rings and two pieces of bike innertube on left shoulder strap, possibly some XS Scuba weight pockets on the belt. Random hole in the crotch strap webbing from where the previous owner had the webbing doubled up and clipped.

Zeagle Flathead VI reg setup - black primary on a 48"ish hose, yellow octo with bungee necklace on a short hose, HP hose with quick disconnect for aeris computer, standard inflator hose.

Aeris Atmos Ai Computer - fittingly enough, I went diving yesterday and the thing died on me, so it may or may not be working.

Aqua Lung Blade Fins - blue and well worn with Boogie711 brand spring straps.

Thanks in advance!

Scott,
I see you're in San Francisco. Whereabouts? Just to get an idea of where it was stolen from....

Good luck.

The computer and the reg will eventually need service. You should check with the manufacturers and see if they can have the service dept. or warranty claims dept. watch for it.

I believe the deco stop has a page they run to list stolen gear with serial numbers from what I heard a few people have had good luck with it.

The Marina.

I grew up in the Haight, live in Twin Peaks, work in Laurel Heights and commute through downtown/soma regularly so I'm all over the place; I'll keep an extra big eye out for you.

Ill watch the tourist spots here, there are always people hawking stuff, not SCUBA gear usually, but sometimes.

At least it all got to go on one last decent day of diving before being abducted. It was probably still wet when the thieves took it!

I've already ordered a new set of gear, which should be here in time for diving this weekend. And I think insurance will cover the loss. I'd still really like to catch the ******* who took it though.

And Shaka - I'm leaving directions to your house in my garage, just in case the theives come back.

Goodluck. I see you wasted no time buying new stuff :) Hope all goes well.

Sorry to hear about your gear. I hope homeowners covers it, and the thieves get what's coming to them.

I would leave more than a note for the thieves if they came back. I think some booby traps would be a good idea. I really like the one that you always see in the movies. The suspect/victim hits the trip wire on the ground and the giant log comes flying out of the jungle with bamboo spikes on it. Of course the giant pit under the rug always works too.
