All I know is that it was an A series powershot. I was looking at Cannon's web site and saw an A710is for $279 and housing for $240. When my son dropped and broke my A85 I got a new one on Ebay for $75.

Whats up with the camera you got for Christmas?

The camera I "just got" worked fine. However, I discovered some limitations as to fixed focus vs. variable focus and modes. More importantly, I discovered that I really enjoy UW photography. So I'm thinking of following President Bush's suggestion and spending some of that newly passed economic stimulus tax rebate $$$ on a came and housing that I'll get plenty of mileage out of. Buydig.com has an A720 IS for $190 and a Canon housing for $180. Might just pull the trigger before heading back down to Playa for the first week of March. I'll say Hi to the turtles for you!
