Hey everyone....

Coco View resort is all booked up for the week I want to go (June 18-25)

So the option was given to me about the Playa Miguel Beach houses instead...they say it is close to the CCV and is only a short walk or bike ride to the actual resort..

I am being told that the following beach houses are available.....BH#8, BH#9, BH#11 and BH#12 ...

Anyone have any preferences as to which is better??? any of them have good shore diving at it? that would be nice...

We would be renting one of these until a room opens up at the CCV....but what are the odds of that happening??? I would love to have a over the water bungalow.....but I'll take what I can get...

Thanks for any insight.....

There is some probability a room would open up. I'm going to Coco View for the first time May 7. When I first contacted them, they were booked all through May. However, we got lucky and one (actually, I was told 4) opened up. Since I haven't been there yet, I can't comment on the beach houses . . .

You can find a lot of CoCo View fans here on Scuba Board, but the real CoCo Nuts have a message board at http://www.websitetoolbox.com/tool/mb/ccv

Cabana rooms do "open up", even after a week is closed out, but I kinda like the Playa Miguel beach-houses. The farthest away (#12) you can walk to in 4 minutes, or just peddle one of the bikes for 1 minute.

The beach houses on Playa Miguel at CoCoView have their own distinct flavor and advantages. You can see the floorplans at http://www.roatan.com/catalog/honduras/playa_miguel.htm

Go and have fun. The diving is the same and you have a neat little house on the edge of the Caribbean with essentialy your own private beach. How could that be bad?

Doc's right I have never stayed in them but they are all kept up very well. They are owned by CoConuts that have come to love the place so they bought a place. Take advantage of them I think you will enjoy your stay.

They are all close to the water so you will still be able to hear the gentle surf.

I stayed at #11 a few years back.Nice place-central living room/kitchen open to the breeze, two identical bedrooms on either side. its just a short bike ride down the path to the resort, plenty of bikes (cruisers)to use. We enjoyed the privacy and qiuet, but no shorediving down that way. All meals are taken at the resort,so no need for the kitchen, except coffee! CCVs coffee is terrible!
