My wife and I loved the afternoon we spent in Sayulita when we were staying in Puerto Vallarta. Not diving, though. Just drinking margaritas and eating fish tacos. I wasn't even aware there was diving there. It's well known as a surfing spot, though.

Reality TV? That's sad. It seemed like such a quaint Mexican village ... with a few surf bums roaming about.

I think the reality show is one of those "bachelor in paradise" sequels. I don't watch it but heard about the resort second hand. Diving is said to be decent. I'll know for sure in October. I think Sayulita is still a sleepy village.

Marietas Island
Recognized worldwide thanks to Jaques Ives Cousteau these islands are a favorite place for beginners and advanced divers due to its extensive biodiversity and geography also delivering unparalleled conditions for snorkeling which makes this a spectacular destination for all family.

El Morro
Located 6 miles west of the Marietas islands and the border edge of Banderas Bay, El Morro is a series of stone mounds at depths of up to 150 feet. El Morro gives you the opportunity to dive between caves and tunnels 50 feet and explore their rocky walls which gives the most experienced divers a great opportunity to practice a more technical diving skill.

La Corbetena
Surrounded by beautiful blue waters of the Mexican Pacific and 40 miles from Puerto Vallarta, this remote island attracts the most diverse marine species. Here you will find a lot of manta rays, turtles, sharks, dolphins, as well as large schools of tuna around the island in search of food in a feast of movement and color.

Los Anegados
Home to an incredible diversity of marine life including lobster, turtles, octopus, sharks, sea horses, dolphins, mackerel cat fish, yellow tails, swordfish, and larger eels and rays you've ever seen.
