Recently returned from my first real dive trip. Stayed at the Royal Haciendas near Playa Del Carmen and did four two tank dives through Dive Balam. They are located at the resort which was very convenient. I thought they did a great job. Good equipment, very professional and pleasant to be with. Consider them if looking for a trip in the Cancun area. Having done only one other boat trip, I don't have much to compare to, but it was a great experience.
