Pick a cenote, Grand Cenote is quite spctacular. Then Car Wash is near by. You guide will probably know of more.

We had a great dive at "Tortugas," and saw at least 30 or 40 turtles. Another dive was "Barracuda." I've never seen so much life in a reef. It's a finger-and-groove reef, and there are lots of protected spots that you can explore sheltered from the current.

Who are you diving with?

Thanks
Last year I used Tank Ha in Playa and Venta in Akumal. Do you have any suggestions??

Thanks

If you liked your dive Ops, stay with them!
However...
I dove with Akumal Dive Shop and some friends dove with Akumal Dive center, while others went with Akumal Dive Adventures next door to the La Buena Vida restaurant. They all seem competitively priced, and they dive on the same reefs. Akumal Dive Adventures sounds like they are more flexible.

There are many excellent dives off of Playa and Akumal, daily conditions dictate which one's are best. You Dive Op and DM should be able to tell you what will be good on each day, and where to go to see specific things. I had some good experiences with ScubaCaribe out of Playa del Carmen.

We used Tank-Ha, and were very happy with their crew. They were also very accomodating. We had 6 divers coming off a cruise ship, so they had a boat, DM, and crew waiting for us when until we could get to their shop. We were in contact with Desiree before we left home, and were also able to arrange to have Nitrox for our dives.

One member of our group told the DM that we all like to take our time, and explore the reef. We had a nice relaxed dive at Barracuda, and the DM found all sorts of sea life for us. The current was cranking at Tortugas, so we covered a lot of distance.
