I dove double aluminum 80's all summer. Most of my dives were under 50 ft. I use a single outlet manifold, I just think they're easier to use and look better. Getting in and out of the water is a little challenging sometimes but submerged I don't really notice a difference between diving single tank or doubles. Not entirely sure what my sac rate is but I could get up to 4 dives on a set of double 80's. To me personally I think that tank racks are a waste of space whether on the boat or in my truck. The doubles never roll around like with a single tank. I want to do deeper dives later and get trained on them so this is good exercise until then. Some of the vintage equipment I dive with is older than my parents and it still works great.

I definitely won't be convinced are you sure you are

It's nice, I can just walk my doubles straight to the compressor. I never need to take them off the bc. I never have to worry that my tank is set at the right height because they never move 😀. I take up less room on the dive boat than someone bringing two separate tanks.
