Well, Bonaire has pretty much ruined me (for the good). Once you get the system down, it's just too easy to have a relaxed time. Everyone is on island time....
I'd go for a small place. Black Durgon Inn, or Carib Inn (Black Durgon has a nice house reef). You could stay on the south end of the island, too, at lots of places. I prefer the smaller places.
