Obviously I haven't been on here in quite a while! We enjoyed Curacao, although I think the diving down toward Porto-Marie was much better than on the side near Breezes. Water was quite rough, which meant that none of the non-divers could ride along as they were hoping to. We were happy with the food and drink at Breezes. On the weekends, the lines for drinks could get fairly long because lots of locals come in for the day. The drink glasses are very small, so we had brought larger insulated mugs and just got two at a time. I brought a hugger for my son to put his strawberry drink in so that he didn't accidentally pick up one of the 'adult' strawberry drinks sitting around the pool. I think he drank his weight in virgin strawberry daiquires while we were there.

Actually preferred the buffet to the sit-down restaurants, mainly because of the flexibility and not having to wait for service since we had a four-year old with us. He loved the Kids' Club, even though some days he was the only one there. One of those days was when they took them to the Sea Aquarium next door (no extra charge) and he got to see the sea-lion show and pet a shark.

There were lots of lionfish around, and our dive guides were spearing them as we pointed them out. We had a car and found some really neat places to explore on the other end of the island, even driving along a deserted beach area where we found lots of wild parrots to photograph. We did go to the ostrich farm and I rode an ostrich! Kind of expensive to ride, but I had to do it.

The nightly entertainment around the pool was actually nice too. Nothing spectacular, but my husband won a bottle of liquor one night in a trivia contest, and my son sang Margaritaville on karaoke night. The trapeze show was very good, and I also signed up and did the lessons one day. Make sure you bring some socks for that, we had to buy some to participate. I ended up ripping my hand open on the trapeze bar, but it was still fun.
