Hi,

If you see a stranding of a marine animal, dead or alive, please report it at the following phone number:

(617) 973-5247

This is the number for the New England Aquarium's Rescue and Rehabilitation Department. They have a network throughout New England who investigate and take care of these things. This is also where you can report wierd sightings like a Beluga Whale (even if it's not stranded, dead or sickly).

A friend saw a dead seal on the shore of Folly Cove yesterday. I reported it at this number and they were very grateful. They would like all beach users to please call them when you notice a stranding.
