place to get wet in Lake ON in Toronto

I'm looking for a place to get into Lake Ontario where I can get deep enough to do some skills and work on buoyancy etc. Other than humber bay that is - concensus seems to be that it is very dirty there.

Anybody know a spot where you can take a dip and it gets deep fast? Ideally I can get my car fairly close to bring in my doubles.

Skills and buoyancy are best done in 20ft IMHO. The depth seems to hide my personal lack of "skill"

When I said 'a place where it gets deep fast' I mean like 15 to 20 feet deep. The depth hides my lack of skill too. My skills definitely could use some work. Ideally I should get into a pool to practice. Problem is, it's a little embarrasing for me because I have been diving for 23 years and have been a SCUBA instructor for 15 years

I am sitting here looking at this huge shoreline of Lake Ontario and I can't believe there isn't a spot where there is a steep descent near the shore that would be good for taking a 15 to 20 foot dip.

There's lots of spots to get to 20 feet.

When you said depth the assumption with be like 70 to 100 feet.

Call up Brian at Mississauga diving and ask him for spots. He seems to pretty much live in Lake Ontario.

Wherabouts near Lake Ontario are you? Obviously St. Catherines is going to be different than Oakville, which will be different than Kingston.

I am in Toronto close to downtown area. So I am looking for something in close proximity.

I know he spends a lot of time in the Toronto area in the water and knows the spots as well as anyone. I've been promising to do a dive for a while but I can't seem to get out of the tub with DiveMistress. I think it's the better of the two options don't you? :06:
