Looking for anybody having experience diving the north end of Pismo Beach, CA. Is it a good site? What would be its features/attractions?

Years ago I dove the pier and further North near Shell Beach? There is a reason I've not been back.

Vis was horrible. Sand- nothing but sand everywhere.

Well, judging from what I saw on Google Earth, you have to get a fair distance north of the pier, like where the beach ends, to get any reef action. The kelp is visible in the sat image.
I never dove Pismo... But the only good thing I can say about it is during the warm summer months.... HOTTIES EVERYWHERE IN BIKINIS.... and if you have quads or a dirtbike the dunes aint bad either....
