they have the blacktip out for the cheap version and now the CudaX for the big boy version, Piranha didn't have a place anymore

FWIW, was the PTB power supply idea an issue?

no both the Blacktip and the CudaX are using the PTB's though they are using the much larger flexvolts than the smaller ones. Still running at the lower voltage but taking advantage of the large packs.
