Surprisingly, we had 15 - 20' of vis on the wreck (considering all the rain we had and runoff) with temps in the 50's. It was a bit of a snotty ride out from Marshfield with pounding into a head sea, but it made for a smooth "surfing" ride back to port. Many MONSTER Taug in and around the open bow and stern, as well as Dog fish nearly 4' long. As per usual it was a great dive.

Be Safe,

The Pinthis almost always has good vis because of the sandy bottom and it's distance from shore, unlike the Poling which is extremely variable based on the weather.

The Pinthis is one of my favorite shallow wrecks in the area.

yeah pinthis is a great dive because of the viz that it usually has due to the corse bottom.
i had 50 to 75 this past spring

That is a wreck I have been meaning to do. Any recommendations on a good charter operation to head out there with?

Well, most likely next because it gets hard to find a boat in November.

yeaha friend of mine has a boat out that way, its about a 25-30 minn ride to pinthis from the dock, but the boats outa the water already

We went with Fran Marcoux (Daybreaker) last spring - you have to check his schedule, as he usually sails out of Cape Ann, but a few times a year, he does a weekend out of Scituate going to (among others) the Pinthis and Mars. He's a great guy who runs a nice operation.
