I'm with you, sister!!!

BTW, Cressi makes those beautiful, high-performing scuba fins in a full-foot version as well if that is what you prefer. As to the wetsuit:

I would email the Cressi rep guy on here to see if he knows a way to get the black suit w/pink trim. They make one but it is only avail. in Europe at the moment. However, maybe he can pull some strings? If so, I want to buy 2 and I know DM Julie wants one, too! Good luck...

I'm pretty sure I have a pink dive knife that I got from some old timers who retired from diving. I'll see what else I got in that batch.

If you are interested in the knife, please PM me. If I don't hear from you I'll have to save it for my granddaughter when she starts diving - she's 19 months old :) .

Thanks! Honestly I am a TOTAL newbie when it comes to diving. The only diving I've ever done was a discover scuba course in Punta Cana 2 years ago. My mom and I are starting our classroom/pool sessions in 2 weeks then going to Cancun in March to do our referral dives.
The Tusa fins I have now I bought on a whim right before I went to the Bahamas last March. :doh2: I hate them and I'm not really crazy about the mask either. :( The fins I have are open in the back... is the full foot version better? Do you not wear booties with the full foot kind?

No problem! Whether or not you want full-foot fins or open-heel fins will depend a lot on the kind of diving you'll be doing. You usually don't wear booties with the full-foot fins although I work with some instructors who sometimes wear neoprene "socks" to help keep their feet warm when diving in the "winter" over here. Full-foots are great for boat diving in warm waters or beach diving where the entry is nice, soft sand. For any other kind of diving (cold water, shore diving with rocky entries, etc.), I recommend open-heel fins that you wear with boots.

Why do you hate your fins and mask? I would hang onto them until you have a more training to see if perhaps you get more comfortable with them as you get more comfortable with diving. BUT, I can tell you this...

The Cressi Lince Mask & Snorkel Combo is amazing. Seriously. I am not getting paid to tell you this but I believe very strongly in this product. When I first started diving, noone, including my original instructor, trained me on how to determine what kind of gear I needed. I had no idea what to look for in a mask, a reg, a bcd, etc. I ended up buying an expensive mask that wasn't very comfortable for me. I thought that was just the way it was! So for 2 years, I wore a mask that was too big for my face and always leaked a bit. When I tried the Cressi Lince, it literally hit me like a hammer - I realized "Holy cow, all this time I've been diving with a crappy mask!"

The Lince is so super comfortable, low-volume, easy to clear and perfect for ladies. I personally think that if you try it, you will be back here on SB singing its praises. The fact that it comes in pink only makes me love it even more. :O)
