ok I'm not the best at searching so I'll ask here instead (i really did look for answers before asking here )
from what I have read I know you have galleries for everyone?
So if i want to post pictures
1) can I? Im pretty sure the answer is yes but thought it better to ask first rather then just do
2) whats the best way to do so ? in other forums they sometimes would prefer you use an offsite hosting service(like photo bucket) to save bandwidth
any other things i need to know?

thank you very much
terry

At the top of the screen, next to the ScubaBoard logo, you'll see a "Photo Gallery" link. Just click it, upload and enjoy!

Also, read THIS.

thanks rick
i had seen that screen before but tonight i just couldnt find it
guess its getting late and ill do more tomorrow
thanks again
terry

You bet. And HERE'S more good news.

ok i uploaded a few pics of my latest dive knife into my gallery
i have no idea how or if i can put a link to them here
so i'm thinking that maybe you guys can check out my gallery somehow
thanks for your patience
terry
P.S. the knife is made from 6k stelite (which has no iron in it so cannot rust, its a cobolt alloy) and tiger coral handles

You can. It's easy. When you type your post, click "my Pics / Open" on the right, and select from you photos.

Here is the other way to do it:

Sign up for a photo sharing site (like you said). I use Image hosting, free photo sharing & video sharing at Photobucket, but there is also flicka, picasa, etc. Upload the image to whatever photosharing website you are using. The image will appear with 4 lines of code underneath. The last one will say "Img code". You highlight whatever is in that box, copy it, then paste it into the Private Message or post.

There is a way to resize it on photobucket in case it is a giant picture...but photobucket recently changed that function around and now whenever I try to do it I get an error message about flash something or other and it closes out my internet explorer...so I just let it be whatever size it wants now.

PM DandyDon if you have questions about resizing it, he has a screenshot of a setting that will limit the size...it's hard for me to explain so seeing the picture would be best.

thanks for the help , i already have a photobucket account and i know how to do that . i just wasnt sure if that was the correct way to posta pic on this board
thanks again,,,terry
