The long fish is a slender filefish, seen from the top. It was at least 2 inches long. That's not wire coral, it's a fat gorgonian. I was trying to shoot a fish portrait, but he kept going around to the back side of the gorgonian as I circled to get the shot. While I did eventually manage to get a side view, this one is much more interesting.
While I wouldn't say that flamingo tongues were common there, I probably noticed 6-8 of them during the week. This was the first time I've ever seen two close together.
There were a lot of jellyfish in the water, generally in the top ten feet or so. I spent a lot of safety stops trying to photograph them without much luck. I guess I have to learn how to do manual focus, since my camera couldn't seem to auto focus on them.
