I have been using Photoshop CS ver 8 for quite a while, but since there is not a camera raw update to support my camera (Rebel Xti), I have to go through the extra step of converting to DNG, which is somewhat time consuming. I installed the Photoshop Elements 6.0 trial to because I believe it will meet my needs, however the application is crashing in the middle of editing photos consistently. Has anyone else had problems with the stability of Elements 6.0? I don't want to give up on it just yet if it is more likely an issue with my install or system.

how large is your system's RAM?

1 GB. I just installed it on another machine with 2 GB to try it out on.

have you tried with canon raw image processor?

I just started using PS elements 6 and have had no problems .I previously had Elements 4 .I am using it on a new computer with 3 GB of ram.

Thanks all. I have been running it on another computer without incident, so my problem appears to be solved.
