Headed out with some dive buddies this morning to dive some nearby wrecks....
Here are results :D :14:.

Texas - British minesweeper that sank after a fire just outside of Kingston Harbor in the 1950's, it's considered a war grave as 3 persons died on it during the fire that led to its demise.
Vis was poor, about 20-25ft as it lies in the shipping channel...
Made the dive more 'atmospheric' though .

Atlantic Spadefish -kept me company during the dive..

Great shots, Jamdiver...absolutley love the sea fan and ascent photos.

Looking good again!!

I like the darker blues in the sea fan...but would still go there and play around some more. There's a great shot there to be had :D

Have you tried flipping your camera over? On the squirrelfish (the red one) I've noticed that you can sometimes get the eye not to blow out by flipping the camera over and bringing the light from more underneath. I'm a huge fan of the upside down camera with onboard flash use - sometimes just seems to paint the light better for some reason!

Keep em coming!

Thanks Alcina,
About the sea fan, hmm I was thinking along the same lines...
My next step is to get buddies to pose where I want them to :14::wink:.

Will try that little trick with the camera upside down next time..
Lost the diffuser plate for my housing, so the lens portion of the housing casts a shadow in some of the pics..
Need to replace it ASAP :)

Nice pictures. I like that you have some of them in vertical instead of horizontal arrangement.

The one you have labeled "juvenile cowfish?" is a sharpnose puffer. And "Quite possibly the weirdest fish that I have ever seen" is a glasseye snapper.

Which camera would that be again?
The 5D or is a 20D? Sorry can't keep track sometimes.... :D

Thanks for the corrections maractwin :)

Nice looking spadefish - ours always look like some one tried to have a bite for lunch :D.

if you consider 20ft+ at the texas bad viz you must have been very fortunate on all your dives there! i would say 50% of my dives there where 0ft+! anyway great shots. hope to get as lucky as you on this site!!!!
