Thanks for the words. Actually, it's so blue because I only have the internal flash right now. I'd like it to be less blue, actually. That was the natural water color, great viz.

Hi Chris

It is an excellent shot anyway. If you need more red in your pics you can attach Red Gelatine over the face of your flash or strobe. This highlights the red colours in the water which are gradually lost the deeper you go.

You can get sheets of red gelatine from theatres which have the old type of spotlights and some camera shops still have it in stock.

A second strobe/flash that operates by a cableless slave servo flash LSD (light sensitive detector) is always a good item to have of course.

Failing that you can always have a few of your buddies 'paint' the red areas in the shot with powerful U/W flashlights. This can give an extremely dramatic contrasting effect to the blue.

I hope some of this helps but feel free to ask anyone else here on the boards for their tips and opinions.

Keep up the good work

Two quick ray shots from Grand Cayman.

I just bought a new HP scanner with slide and negative scanning capability. The negatives turn out pretty good, but slides leave a lot to be desired (at least the UW slides).

Here's a picture (scanned slide) of an anorexic whitetip. If you compare the size of his dorsal fin to the rest of his body, you can see how skinny he is.

These are brilliant, my favorite is the Wobergong, what camera and lens were you using for that shot as it has a very nice depth of field.

G,day Aquamore,

The Wobby was taken with a MX-10 & wide angled lens, same with the White tip.

Excellent depth of field without "patchy" lighting.

:)
