I just don't log dives
planned on diving the SG this morning, a ripping current upon arrival called for plan B(all deep sites awash in strong currents); deep French mooring balls occupied so we continued south to molasses(plan C). mostly sunny and warm(79F), 1-3FT seas, SE winds <10KTS. 1ST dive: southernmost molasses buoy M19(pillar coral forest, permit ledge/fire coral caves), nice blue water, viz 50-60+ FT, mdt/strong current, water temp warming to 78F @ 20-38FT. had this exposed portion of MO all to ourselves. 2ND dive: buoy M25(logans run), blue water, viz again 50-60+ FT, 78F @ 25-42FT. juvenile reef shark, turtle, numerous black/Nassau groupers. not bad diving for early february!! marine WX looks good thru the forecast period. photos from TIMG,,,,,,,,,,,,

Nice shots. I'm impressed with how warm the water at Key Largo has been, based on reports from folks diving it, this time of year. I pay attention because I don't like wearing wet suits when I can get away with it, so that few degrees makes a difference.

Richard.

Thank you Richard. Very nice day today.

Warmer than usual water this year.
Jupiter at about 70f.
Pompton at 72f.
Key Largo at 79f.
Knock about 3-5 degrees off these temps for a typical late January, early February water temp has been my past experience.

Chug
Hates hoods.

So happy to see you guys enjoying such great dive conditions, although I'm jealous :D Looks like it was a great day to have the camera along - great shots Tim!
