Question to GTA residents. Are there any special places that you can recommend where you buy film and develop pictures?

Well nothing beats the area just east of the Eatons centre on Queen Street. You can shop at Downtown Camera www.downtowncamera.com Henry's www.henrys.com or Vistek www.vistek.ca they all sell refrigerated pro film and will give discount for bulk. I used to always have my film developed at Downtown as the colour reproduction was good... now with digital prints I go to my local Blacks...

for large (i.e. 200+ rolls) quantities of film, i use the on-line store -B&H in the states - even with the costoms charge and shipping comes to about half the price of the same brands of film here. If you decide to go with on-line stores, only use reputable ones (B&H and Helix are the ones i use) - they ensure that your mail does not gets scanned by damaging X-rays

I use Blacks for prints processing - but the results vary locaiton by location - so make sure you test it first

Your local Loblaws or Dominion might have decent print processing - we have one near us with very decent quality and way cheaper that Blacks

For slides (E-6 processing), i use Abel's
