Hi folks, I just got back from my trip to the Yucatan and I went diving in cozumel with my Canon A570. I never adjusted my white balance while I was under. Can I now use some photo software to make adjustments to my pics? What would I need to do? Add red? I have Adobe and Paint Shop Pro 10.

Thanks,
JP

Which Adobe software do you have (not familiar with Paint Shop Pro)?

Most photo editing software will have some kind of white balance functionality. Basically you find a point in the shot that should be white, use the eye dropper tool to select it, and the software will correct color in the photo based on that point as white.

I have CS2 9.0.2 version. I just got to my dive photos and the 100' ones are really blue. I'll try giving your tip a shot. Thanks.

I have an underwater filter and a different underwater action that will color correct your photos also. I think they'll work with CS2.

PM your real e-mail address and I'll send them to you.

Thanks Kraken, however when I follow your directions I don't even see a background copy option in the laers menu box anywhere. I click on the little arrow and I try in the menu bar up top as well. Just don't see step 7 anywhere.

These things are kinda hard to write . . .
. . . never been accused of being a tech manual writer.

I'll look at it and see where it's going wrong.
