I was in Panagsama (Moalboal) for the month of August.

There were groups diving from my shop that saw whalesharks on three occasions myself included.

All of them were within meters of the beach. On leaving some locals in front of a friends house saw a pod of one adult and two young.

I've been going to Moal Boal for the bast few years just for the diving. I don't really agree about the comment, "it's more of a resort town." It's a town with very few "resorts". There are accomodations but nothing else really to do there.

I saw my first whaleshark in Moal Boal. It was a beauty. About 7 to 8 meters long. I was there in late December when we saw it.

I haven't dived any where else in PI. I fell in love with Moal Boal so I do it all there. Pescador is a great dive. I've never dived deeper than 46 meters at Pescador. And that was to get the DM's weight belt.
