Has anyone done a deep dive after a perforated ear drum has healed?
Yes, I have.

Consult an ENT Physician or Dive Doctor before doing any diving post perforation recovery.

Had a great pair of successful dives with the wife today. 3 months exactly after she popped her ear drum. Dive 1 down to 60 ft for 25 ish minutes. Dive 2 down to 42 ft. GPO, shrimp, flounder, baby eel... was amazing for her to experience the critters I love seeing

Yes I actually did this right before taking my OW when “free diving” in the lake at my house and had to postpone the OW class for 3 months roughly. But after that I’ve always been very careful and make sure I have no sinus issues shortly before diving but I never struggled with it after that. I now have a bit over 100 dives and at least 50-60 between 25-40 meters.

Mostly in reply to mike41799 I have developed slight perforation in my tympanoplasty ear. Belt and suspenders approach, I use a Doc's Pro Plug under the earcup of my IST Pro Ear Mask.

Another observation, which I hope hardly anyone on his board ever experiences, so long as you keep your ear dry with a Pro Ear Mask, equalization is very easy.
