Hi all,

Quick question for any Shearwater Peregrine users. When you reach a safety stop in recreational mode, is the countdown timer is green like on the Teric?

I called Shearwater to get clarity on this and they couldn't answer the question. The guy said "I think so". But, in the manual, there is no mention of this.

Hi bacb,

We are sorry about the confusion this created.

Please let us clear up the confusion. Once you reach safety stop depth the color of the count down timer will not change during your stop. When the safety stop is cleared the timer changes to green written message complete. If you have the count up timer on it will continue to count upwards and those numbers will be green. The manual doesn't talk about the color directly because there is not an option to change this. However as you can see on the screenshot below there are certain changes in each step of the safety stop to make it visual as well.

Happy diving!

I was going to film my next safety stop using my Peregrine for you but I see Shearwater answered the question for you. As they have replied I can confirm from experience that you see this:

In the rare instance the countdown pauses it does show it in Yellow as is shown above.

This is all the exact behavior I've seen in mine.

Thanks! I needed up going with the Teric. Glad I did. It seems to have all the aspects I’m looking for.

Thanks for this! I ended up going with the Teric. Love the customizable features. I’m colorblind and the ability to customize colors is a great feature for me.
