Peregrine log jumps back

My wife has a problem. She likes to log directly from the computer to her paper log.
She presses the buttons to enter the dive log on the computer and goes to a specific dive.
If she spends too long viewing the dive, the computer jumps right back to the home screen.
She finds this very frustrating, especially if she has to log multiple dives.
Is it possible to set the computer so that it doesn't jump right back to the home screen
or is it possible to change the setting so that you can stay longer in a specific dive?
She does not want to use the online software.
And she doesn't enjoy logging that much longer.
She is thinking of buying a new divecomputer, even though she likes to dive with the Peregrine.

I've done some basic research and testing on my own peregrine and i have not found a way to keep it up for longer than a minute or so. I don't want to be that guy but if connecting it to a smartphone is possible i would recommend doing so as it is really easy and relatively quick. You would then be able to look at more dive log parameters and info for as long as your phone stays on.

Thanks for the reply. I have now convinced my wife that it is better to transfer the dives to her smartphone. She accepts it as long as I do it for her. Now she agrees that it was quite easy.
