Offshore sites are offering some incredible visibility, with 80-100+ on the Avocet, Chevron, Pen Hall, and of course Oriskany.

Most inshore sites have a snotty layer up top but open up to clear water at 15-20'.

Still no oil here!

H2O Below is still running charters.

We had a great day on the water too!

Hit Tug Heron first. Viz at the bow and wheelhouse was perhaps 20ft, but it dropped off considerably at the stern and off the wreck. Still, it was good enough to shoot a pair of triggerfish! Saw a lazy bull shark in the 6-7ft range circling for scraps.

Second dive was the Pete Tide, as the best viz seemed to be between 60 and 70ft. The wreck was covered in beeliners, but I opted for a respectable amberjack and a sheepshead instead. While I was stringing the aj, a second bull shark showed up and circled below us.

Needless to say, there were 20,000 red snapper on both wrecks. I'm crossing my fingers that we can put some on the boat before they close the fishery.
