What a great day to be on the water! It was like a lake and getting back on the boat was like getting out of the pool. I went out on the Wet Dream, top notch! The Captain Gene, Dive Con Cathie and Deck Hand Ty really take care you and are alot of fun to dive with. The homemade ice cream after the last dive is very nice. In my opinion, the Wet Dream and Dr. Dive are the top of the scuba charter bus. in Pensacola. If you go out either, you can't go wrong.
As for the dive, WOW! I have dived the Pete Tide many times and it is always nice. The vis. about 60 feet, not great but good. But, the whole wreck was covered in bait fish, huge schools. And with the bait fish, small cigar minnows i think, Amber Jacks, Snapper, and Bonito, were all swooping in to take a bite. It was really interesting to watch. I saw a large Cowfish on the wreck, first time I have seen one there. And the usual critters, triggers, queen and french angels, trigger fish, grouper. Maybe it was the recent storms, but, there were alot less sea urchins and sea cucumbers on the wreck. One diver said the saw an octopus.
Long story short, great dive and great day. If you can get down to the Gulf Coast now is a good time.
