cool!!!!...reminds me of when I was fishing in PC beach a couple of years ago...we had just had fun w/ a huge school of redfish and when they finally scattered, we saw another school coming in the distance...but as the shadow of the school got closer, we realized it was the shadow created by one single fish, a hammerhead of about 14 ft. which decided to swim almost directly underneath my boat....we were about 50 yards off the beach, about 75 yards E of the PC pass, with hundreds of tourists in the water....while this was the first h-head I had seen, I can't tell you how many bulls, blacktips, etc. I have seen within spitting distance of beach bathers...if they only knew.....muhahahaha!!!!!!!!

I understand that the big hammerheads are down at Boca Grande Pass where they fish for tarpon. Someone recently broke the world record with a 1200 + pounder.

I just **** myself. I was there. Really. and I was drunk and somehow cut myself.. so I jumped into the water to wash off. Umm It makes me think twice about going back to memorial day pride.

Hope you enjoyed the little slice of paradise we call the Redneck Riviera.

there have been 2 large hammers taken here at Boca Grande lately...one about a month ago broke the 80 lb test world record at around 750 lbs, I think....and the one from a couple of weeks ago weighed in at around 1280 to break the all-tackle record....the 1280 had a couple of large tarpon in her belly, as well as 30-something hammerhead pups getting ready to give birth
