Tactics also come into the equation, and Sea Shepherd save hundreds of whales every season with less money and less resources.

Why are they impressive? Look what happened to their boat. It makes them look pathetic.

On the contrary, it makes them look like the victims, which brings in more funding.

Actually I think Japan whales more because of Sea Shepherd and they will have caused the deaths of more whales in the long term due to their strategies.
