An acquaintance had one "undeserved hit" after a deco dive with a DTR ( TTS) of 15 minutes. All when OK, no special circumpstances.
Since he had lost a bit of sensitivity in the tights and had a small abdominal pain he went for an hyperbaric treatment. Diagnosed with a PFO, he claims that, for him, diving is over.
Is there a proven correlation between PFO and DCS? I have read that PFO increases the risk of DCS but is this a "strong" contra-indication for further diving? I think that I have read that "some kind" of diving would still be allowed, but I cannot retrieve this text.
Anyone can help?
