I have a question for one of you intelligent beings. When you renew a passport, do you keep the same passport #? Sounds petty but I need to know ASAP. PM me, please, if you are sure.

My passport numbers changed; when the old one was filled up, I exchanged it for a new one. The old one was stamped cancelled, and holes punched in it, when issuing a new one.

They didn't return my old one.
I thought hey returned everything. My wife has to renew hers and will have to send in the original marriage certificate. I'm waiting on getting my back right now for a trip in one month. I sent it in 3 weeks ago.

they've always returned our old passports. They're supposed to.

finally double checked - yes, they did return my old one with my new one.
