Just got aquainted with Paradise springs today. Just north of Belleview Florida, this is a cavern/cave system that begins with a 15 ft wide hole and goes down to 138 feet, and the first 97 feet being in the cavern zone. It is private and the entrance fee is $27.00. They are open Wed thru Sunday at 9:00 am.

I stayed in the cavern area and was mesmerized by the fossils and the vastness of the cavern. The first dive (32% NitrOx) was for 39 minutes to 97 feet. The second dive (with a 20 min interval) was to 38 ft for 23 minutes. Both tanks were done on one tank with lots of air left over. BTW, the second was so short since it was a "rescue dive" for a DM candidate... he did great! Far cooler than Blue Spring.

I have wanted to check out Paradise, although I did not know anyone who went. Thanks for the info. I will give it a try one day!

Net Doc,

Did you find the washing machine the owners put in there? Hint, it is on the left side and can be viewed thru a channel in the rocks.

A divemaster from American Pro Diving showed me where it was.
