Hello Everyone,

My Dive Buddie and I are going to Paradise Springs tomorrow. If you can make it please join us. If you have recently dove there how was the VIS and anything interesting to note?

Thanks

PolarbearBen

Lots of fossils on the walls. Once you drop down to the mound do a circuit of the cavern and you'll spot some interesting things. There is a guide line on the ceiling as you decend and it helps keep you off the bottom. Vis is great if nobody touches the bottom. Low/no flow means if the silt is stirred up it remains there for hours.

How was the dive? What are they charging to dive there these days?

It turned out that my buddie was feeling a little under the weather the night before so we called the trip. I ended up tagging along with a group to Hal's Forty Fathom Grotto.

Thanks for the reply I am going on th 22nd to do some tech training. I finally got a hold of the owner. How did you like 40FG. It is a different type of diving isn't.

I was there last Thursday, price was $30/diver. Viz was about 60ft +. I can't wait to go again! :D

40FG can be a challenging environment and can been a turn off for some divers. It is ideal for tech training. I like to mix up my dive sites – one weekend I will dive a site with 50+ vis and the next weekend dive a site with 10+vis. The contrast between the two keeps me excited.
