I have a Palm O2 analyser. I have had it for about four years and use multiple times each week. About three months ago I had to replace the sensor with the new replacement one (different part number).

It worked okay with the new sensor for the first month or so but then I did not dive for six weeks. When I went to use it a few days ago the screen flashed LO and then the percentage. According to the manual, this means the batteries are low. However, they are also new and I put newer ones in and checked the voltage, at least 1.6 volts. A couple of times it has worked okay, but mostly it just flashes LO.

I have also checked the connections for corrosion and all other things I can think of.

Any ideas as to what the problem might be?
