Hi,

Anyone stay at The Cove or Palau Royal Resort? Staying for 2 nights before and after live aboard and deciding between these 2 hotels. PRR has a beach but small and Cove is newer with huge poll and right next to each other. Any feedback would be great.

Thanks!

Both are fine Malakal resorts within convenient walking distance of Neco Marine and Samstours land based dive-ops if you want to do an extra-dive before and after your liveaboard itinerary. Nearby bar & grills of The Drop-Off (at Neco Marine), Samstours and Kramer's. Bluebird Shuttle Bus starts service in the afternoon at PRR, runs until 11pm, and goes to most of the major hotels, shops & restaurants in downtown Koror, and the Palau Pacific Resort (great but expensive dinner buffet) over the causeway to Arakabesang.

We stayed at PPR and dove with Neco for a week prior to the SB Philippines Invasion. The bar by Neco was our most visited as well as Kramer's I believe. Can't comment on PRR but PPR was outstanding. Be prepared to pay for that outstanding bit though - it wasn't cheap by any stretch.

The Palau Central Hotel was FANTASTIC, very solid breakfast, great service, and nice new rooms.

Thanks for the info. We'll be staying in PRR in December, a day before boarding the Palau Aggressor II.
