@jjardin...We stayed at PPR and loved it but we looked at PRR and it looked very nice! There is nothing quite as nice as the PPR but when we go back we will stay 1/2 time at PPR and 1/2 time at PRR instead of splitting our time between Sea Passions and PPR. I hope this makes sense.

Sea passion was fine for me, nice large room, massive en suite, all the mod cons. Ok breakfast is very varied in terms of that you can have squid, French toast, gammon steak and miso soup in the same sitting, but it was reasonable. The bar sucks but then it's close to all the diver bars anyway and good places to eat, wifi is free etc.

Thanks for all of my fellow divers for your suggestions, pros & cons. On my last trip to Palau, I went budget on the pre-charter and post-charter hotels. This trip I have two nights pre and two nights post charter (Aggressor again), and I guess I want a bit more upscale, as I travel alone and would like some amenities like a nice pool to swim in and hang out at, wifi access, shuttle into town for dinner, etc. I have gone through the reports here, on trip advisor, and elsewhere. Finally booked in at the Pacific Royal Resort. A bit pricy, but not much more per night than the Sea Passion, which was my second choice. The location of both is very nice.

Hey,

My husband and I will be on the Aggressor with you for that extended trip. We also need a hotel for a few days prior to the tour ... and for about 12 hours afterwards. I guess I should get moving and figure this out.

Looking forward to meeting you!
Kathy

Last December (2011) my son and I spent two weeks at the Sea Passion. We thought the hotel was very nice and conveniently located. We dove with Necco Marine which is across the street and spent a considerable amount of time at Sam's Tours because they have a nice bar with interesting people. We walked to town a couple of times but it is a nice walk - a mile to 2 miles. Of course, taxis are available.
The Breakfast is a buffet and as many above have noted, it has a wide variety of foods. Eggs cooked as you like them, asian foods and western foods. Kind of strange as they usually had some sandwiches available, one day tuna, one day grilled cheese.
I would stay there again without any hesitation.
