A friend of mine started having pain beneath his ribs after a dive. He hasnt been diving for a week now but the pain still comes and goes. According to him, he was breathing normally and nothing was wrong during the dive.

Has this occcured to anyone ? Doctors here, any recommendations on what to do?

Don't take any risks, go to a doc!!

I would have to second that. If it's possible for him to find a doctor who understands diving that would also be best. I see that you are in Dubai so I don't know exactly which office applies but if you can reach DAN they will have a list of doctors that could help.
In any event I would suggest to do something and not ignore it hoping it will go away. It might be nothing much, but it could also be more serious. Only a doctor can tell you that for sure.
