Does anybody has any input on PADI rescue diver online vs traditional. The online class ends up costing more.

Try doing the classroom version while sitting on a couch in your underwear...

:D

I'm taking the class in Mexico. So I'm trying to figure out if this cuts down significantly on classroom time at the resort.

Less time in classroom. We would have to raise the cost of the class if elearning not an option. Actually less expensive here to do elearning. Instructors here get paid per hour.

We started doing only the eLearning for Rescue this year. The cost to the student has not changed from when we did the classroom sessions. Lots more time available now for the pool.

So in your opinion is the online segment worth a 75 dollars premium and would result in less time at the resort in lectures.

I did my Rescue class at Puerto Aventuras. The class took 3 days. I did the book work and CPR here. We went over the knowledge reviews there the first morning. The rest of the time was in the water. Any lectures that were given happened spontaneously as a point would come up. Incredible class, I can't recommend it enough. Be prepared to be physically drained at the end of the day.

So doing the elearning wouldn't have shortened the class?

If you've already made arrangements to take Rescue at the resort, why not ask them this question?

Naturally I did. Doing due diligence I though I would get some other opinions on the matter. That being said, what is your take?
