PADI OW referral course in Kapalua, Maui

I'm starting a PADI OW referral course and am going to spend some time in Kapalua, Maui in January. Can anyone recommend some good places to finish my certification there?

A bit south of Kapalua is Lahaina. Lahaina Divers does a very good job training and you could even do your referral dives off one of their boats!

Shaka Doug Corbin did this for my kids a few years ago. We had a great time with him (did 10+ dives) and we are heading back soon and will be doing a bunch more with him. He's not only great for the cert portion, he constantly gets rave reviews on this board as well from many people as a local guide (us included). He does more in the Wailea area, but its worth the drive IMHO.

Keep in mind that Kihei/Wailea is a good hour from Kapalua. Not that Doug wouldn't be a good choice.

Tiny Bubbles is out of the Ka'anapali Beach Resort so they have an excellant beach to dive right off the pool area. That will save you on the cost of the dives because the cost of a boat trip can be another $100 or more.

I did the SDI Solo Diver couse with Tim, Tiny Bubbles are good people.

Actually, Tim is out on his own now. Another company is contracted at KBR but that's good for anyone that goes out with him because he can go anywhere the conditions are right, including the excellent beach at KBR. He still has Tiny Bubbles and the web site is up to date with his current info.
