FWIW, I got my divemaster # through PADI Asia/Pacific in June 2016. 381###.

28**** in 2011. So in 5 years PADI certified about 100,000 DMs. Interesting when it comes to discussing jobs and pay.

Hi Sam

His signature line states : "PADI before there was numbers"

I gather his cert was typed on paper and he doesn't have a number.

Sam, my original NAUI number was issued before they moved to a computer based system. My PADI instructor certification number is the same as my PADI DM #.

Earlier in the thread someone was discussing that different PADI areas in the world have/had different number blocks for certs, so simple subtraction may not work.
