Hi

I'm just starting out on a Padi course and want to enhance my understanding on the dive tables, can anyone point me in the right direction so I can find quizzes or tests on the PADI dive tables.

Thanks :06:

Hi and welcome to the board. Along with your table you should have gotten a grey and purple instruction book. This has sample problems in it. Ask you instructor for some sample problems. They should be able to give you some.

Yea, I wrote something called the Computerized Table Tutor'. It will run you through millions of questions - all versions, 1st table, surface interval, repetitive, missing surface interval etc. Just go down load it - it starts out as a shareware version, and will lock you out of repetitive dive questions after 20 questions... Fear not... Just register it at our ScubaToys.com site, and in the notes section when you check out, put "Free Table Tutor Software - I'm a Scubaboard member" and we won't charge you for it.

Hope that helps!

Larry -

Thank you! I send all my students to Scubaboard. And I have pointed out your Table Tutor as well. It is a great tool for them. I will let them my new class know about your generous offer for Scubaboard Members.

Thanks!

Glad you found a good answer to your question. I didn't know about that table tutor, but now that I do, I'll recommend it to others! Thanks to ScubaToys for making that available.

Don't forget to fill out your profile and dive info, so that we can add context to your future posts. Also, once we know where you are geographically from your profile, you may find that you'll have a whole bunch of new dive buddies to choose from locally.

Dive safe!

Christian

P.S. Due to the high volume of new posts in the Introductions and Greets forum, it's not always possible to keep up with all the new posts here. So, please help me out and send me a PM if you post anything you want me to read or repsond to in this forum.

Welcome to the board, after you have become comfortable with using the tables then just imagine yourself gliding over a beautiful reef, make up a depth and how long you were diving then use your table to see how it went, sort of a dream dive with dive table practice. May sound "corny" but more fun then the old way.-M
