You will need a converter for your room.
- Electricity in all rooms is 220V - (most guests will need a converter, not an adapter)
Here's a link as an example of what you need. Samsonite - Converter/Adapter Kit - Red/Black
There are 120V (American Style) outlets in the camera room only.

I live in Europe so my gadgets are 220V... hence I would need a converter for the camera room :) and not my room, but an adapter for the room, opposite to you all!

I'm probably mixing up resorts. Can we get a picture of an actual outlet? Of an actual plug that that they use?

This was the question I asked about the plugs and why I asked for a link as to the type of converter that would work.

Q - What is the configuration for the 220 outlets in the rooms?
A - Exactly the same as the US but 220V. Most importantly it must be a converter, not an adapter.

I will see if I can get a pic for you.

@cardzard Awesome! Thanks. Most of my stuff is 120/220v so I need to find adapters. Any idea what to look for? A link to Amazon, maybe?

Leftovers can be used to pay the departure tax leaving the country, about $18 USD.

I came back from the Philippines February this year and they did not charge me the departure tax.

I don't know if it is only during particular seasons or if it was canceled, but I just wanted to share that. (enjoy your trip, I really wish that I knew about it earlier, I would have loved to join)

Another thing that might be useful, the resort I was in was using Type A electrical plugs

you can use the following lists for travelling abroad in the future.

Good luck and stay safe.

Adapters can be purchased in many stores like Walmart, Target, and travel stores at the airport. They were commonly many separate pieces, but nowadays good ones in my opinion are the all-in-one foldable ones. I have a cheap one from Walmart that has survived many many flights and miles. It doesn't feel solid, but works fine as it doesn't have too much of a job.

(I've included links here. They are not referrals of any sort. If it is more appropriate though, I can just leave product names for others to google.)

Here is a link to a nice adapter with a USB plugin as well as regular cord plugins. This is nicer than mine, and comes recommended on some travel blogs, and is on sale now for about the price I bought my cheap one a few years ago:

Here is a highly recommended travel power strip:
Amazon.com: Monster MP OTG400 BK Outlets To Go Power Strip - 4 AC Outlets - Black: Electronics

Converters are usually more costly, but I haven't bought one in a long time, so I don't have anything recommended. Note laptops have their own converter, that's the big box on your charger cord, and I don't require one for anything else personally. But I have burned up my electric razor a few times, so maybe I should have looked for one. :)
