It can be patched easily. If you want to try to get a nwe suit, good luck.... they have your money and you have the suit with a valve.

Patch it and move on I would say. But that is me.:blinking:

I hate to say it, but this is why I don't put 100% faith in my LDS (nice guys, but they don't always know what they're doing). I research, read, ask questions, look at others I respect, and then micro manage the purchase/repair. Or do it myself.

Who did that?

would you settle for them to patch the suit or would you demand a whole new suit?

Hard to say. If you bought the suit and the valve from them, and they were both brand new and unused, I'd try to get a new suit out of the deal, although they probably won't do it.

If you've had the suit for a while, they probably won't be willing to do much more than a repair.

I can't tell which valve you have, but here are the OMS instructions. They recommend "on the front of the upper thigh", which on humans generally places it on one of the legs :D

How strong will it be if i patch the hole? will i have to worry about it leaking?

If done properly, it will be as good as the rest of the suit. If you think about it, your whole suit is nothing but patches. The arms, legs, zipper, etc. are all separate pieces of fabric that has been sewn and glued together.

The "If" is the important part. You might want to see if you can get them to send it to the manufacturer or a good drysuit repair place.
