Me again asking more ques. about the p-valve? this time i want to know where its best suited location is. I just got my suit and i had them install a p-valve, however i didnt specify a location and they installed the exit valve(leaving the suit) just left of center crotch. I dont have any experience with these things but it just seemed like an odd location being the tubbing(inside the suit) is about a foot and a half long. any input or pictures would be greatly appreciated...thanks

i have absolutely no first hand experience (!) but most i've seen are about half way down one thigh or the other.

one was near the guy's knee, but i told him that was just empty bragging. :D

Preferably on a man's suit at the front....:D

Seriously. Usually people have them somewhere on the inner/front of thigh of either leg where it does not rub against anything. If it is too high in the crotch area, it could conflict with the crotch strap and rub the material.

The tube needs to have enough flex for you to have a clean path for the pee to go. No sharp corners and all that good stuff.

...in fact, up and loop back down works great for me (recommended by someone on this board). Remember, don't think like a person standing vertically. You'll be using it in a horizontal position in the water.

id like to post some pictures but i forgot how to do it... i must be missing somthing, i cant find the attachmets button

Scroll down below your post and look for Manage Attachments. You won't find it in an edit unless you hit Go Advanced first.

The install location depends on which side you tend to "hang" on.

As for the tubing, all I can say is you'll probably spend the next several years playing with different lengths and materials.

If it's too thin or too long, it's difficult to pee. If it's too thick, the hose won't bend, but you will. If it's too floppy (like latex tubing), it can kink.

Good luck. By the time you find something that works, you're going to be good buddies with the local hardware store. :D

OTOH, once you get it all straightened out, it's very nice to be able to drink all you want at any time, which also should help avoid DCS.

I think someone would be buying me a new suit.

That's going to be in the way of pretty much everything, and looks painful.

Also, it shouldn't need all that goop (silicone seal?).
